Upper Dolpo is a high altitude region in the Dolpo district of western Nepal, situated between The Tibetan plateau and the Dhaulagiri Himalayan range on the Border of Tibet. The Dolpo region hosts an abundance of exotic wildlife including The Himalayan Blue Sheep, Musk deer and the Legendary Snow leopard. Up until not long ago, Dolpo was a highly restricted area, largely unchanged for over 1,000 years, making it one of the more remote and less travelled areas of the nation.
